While we often label games GMless, the term itself encompasses a wide variety of very different games. This panel will attempt to break apart the term GMless, exploring new ways of thinking, talking about, and categorizing GMless games, and asking what this can teach us about designing them, with a particular emphasis on how different kinds of players approach GMless games. Panelists Jeff Stormer, Lyla McBeath Fujiwara, riley rethal, and along with host Jess Levine, will employ their own experiences designing GMless games to explore questions such as "What do you do in a given GMless game, and why is it best to do so without a GM?" and "What type of player will thrive in a given GMless game, and how do its mechanics support that playstyle?"
